Road Closures

A traffic management plan will be in place, which has been agreed with both Basingstoke Council and the Police. Restrictions are as follows: See traffic management plan for more details.

  1. Temporary road closures and diversions will be in place for 15-20 minutes at the start of the race.
  2. There will be no access to Moat Close and Bramley Lane during this short period (between 10:15 and 10:35).
  3. At the start of the race (at 10:30) there will be a rolling road block on Sherfield Road between Bramley Lane and Folly Lane until all the runners are through, which will take 10-15 minutes.
  4. Temporary road closures and diversions will be lifted and the roads will be re-opened after all the runners are clear (approx. 15 minutes)
  5. Bramley Lane will be closed with a diversion via Moat Close for the duration of the event.

Parking

The main area for runners parking is on the MOD land off The Street in Bramley.  It is very likely that there will be some congestion in the village when the competitors are arriving and parking,
