Notice is hereby given that Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Hampshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council and in exercise of the powers under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make the following Order:-

Reason for Order: The Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted to allow for the safe passage of runners during the Bramley Road Race.

Effect of Order:  All traffic will be prohibited from travelling: 1. Along Bramley Lane, Bramley for the duration of the Bramley Road Race between each end of Moat Close, with diversion via Moat Close; 2. Along Bramley Lane (Oliver’s Lane to Sherfield Road) for the start of the race (at approximately 10.15 – 10.45) with diversion; and 3. Rolling road block of Sherfield Road from Bramley Lane to Folly Lane for the start of the race, as directed by traffic signs. 

Duration of Order: The order will come into effect on 17 February 2019 for 1 day.

Alternative Route:  Minchens Lane, Barefoot Lane and vice versa.
